Rahn is a cardiac electrophysiologist with over 10 years’ experience in arrhythmia management including intracardiac ablations and device implantation. Rahn completed his medical degree at the University of NSW with first class honours and completed his junior medical officer years as well as basic physician’s training at St Vincent’s Hospital.

He commenced Advanced Training in Cardiology at the Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland Hospitals rotation, completing it at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Having obtained his “letters” in 2006, Rahn began subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at RPAH whilst pursuing and obtaining a PhD in Medicine through the University of Sydney. His EP training was bolstered by an 18-month dedicated EP Fellowship at the Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. 

Upon his return to Australia in 2012, Rahn secured a Visiting Medical Officer position at the St George and Prince of Wales Hospitals, co-founding the Sydney Heart Rhythm Centre at the St George Private Hospital and establishing the St George Public Hospital Arrhythmia Clinic. In 2020, St George Hospital recognised Rahn’s contribution to its Cardiology Department by awarding him a Staff Specialist position. 

Rahn co-founded Bayview Cardiology with James in July 2020.
